Michael Dwight Lindsey, age 73, of Bowling Green, KY peacefully departed this life at home surrounded by his family and close friends on Monday, July 13, 2020.  The Edmonson County native was born November 10, 1946 to the late Johnny Marshall Lindsey and Chloie Agnes Webb Lindsey.  He was married to his devoted wife and caretaker,  Eleanor Kay Skaggs Lindsey, who survives.

Michael retired as an automobile dealership body shop and service department manager.  He was a member of Chalybeate United Baptist Church, and a fifty year member of Washington Meredith Masonic Lodge #355 F&AM.  He had a dual membership at Bowling Green Lodge #73.  He was also a member of Shriner International of the York Rite Order of Masonic Lodge Chapter and Council.

Michael loved southern gospel music and sang bass with his brother, Clayton, cousin, Hoyt Webb, Jr. and very close friend, Jerry Patton, in the Midway Quartet, which later became the Commanders Quartet.  He also sang with the Southern Harmony Quartet and Southern Harmonaires.

Besides his wife, he also leaves to honor his memory-- two children, Anita Michele Lindsey of Morgantown and Andrew Michael Lindsey and his wife, Kristin Strode Lindsey of Bowling Green; five grandchildren, Emma Kate, Macy Lane, Abby Drew, Jack Michael and Beau Napier Thomas Lindsey; sister, Carolyn Marie Lindsey Brown; sisters-in-law, Carla Gail Skaggs Foster and Dorothy Skaggs Lindsey; several nieces, nephews and close friends.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Gene Clayton Lindsey; brother-in-law, Noel Vernon Brown and his granddaughter, Beau’s twin sister.

Interment will be in Kinser Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions to:  Hospice of Southern Kentucky, 5872 Scottsville Rd, Bowling Green, KY 42104.

VISITATION AND SERVICES WILL BE PRIVATE.
