Dickie Gene Saltsman, age 76 of Bee Spring, departed this life on  Saturday, May 27, 2023 at his home. The Edmonson County native was born on  June 22, 1946 to the late Bro. Willard and Ivil Meredith Saltsman.  He was preceded in death by his companion, Virginia Jewell.

Dickie Gene was a former lineman for P&E Electric, and was a member of Anneta United Baptist Church.   He loved horseback riding, fox hunting and barrel racing.  Dickie Gene wasn’t superficial, and was a very loyal family member, friend and neighbor to those he loved most.

He leaves to honor his memory-- his children, Allen Rich, Elena Kay Saltsman, Robert Saltsman, Douglas Saltsman, Shane Saltsman (Jamie) all of Bee Spring and Amanda Jewell Lindsey of Bowling Green; eighteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; siblings, Mickey Saltsman (Linda) of South, Doris Ann Harrison (Scotty) of Lindseyville, Dula Van Stewart (William Earl) of South, Margie Marie Decker (Lambert) of Leitchfield, Willetta Mattingly (Kendall) of Leitchfield and Kimberli McGuffey (Rob) of Bee Spring, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his wife and parents, he was also predeceased by his daughter, Jeannie Renee Vincent.

Interment will be in Key Cemetery.
