Darlene Sidebottom Davis, age 68, of Elizabethtown departed this life on Friday, July 29, 2022 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. The Jefferson County native was born on June 25, 1954 to the late Gilbert Sidebottom and Helen Riggs Dismang. She was married to her best friend and husband of forty-nine years, Dennis Michael Davis, who survives.

Darlene was a retired executive director of ResCare New Mexico, and a former director of corporate training. She was a member of Grace Outreach Center in Rio Rancho, NM and volunteered as a Stephen Minister through her church to help families in need. Darlene loved to solve cryptograms and was passionate about rescuing dogs and cats that needed a good home.

Besides her husband she leaves to honor her memory— son, Christopher Michael Davis (Mya) of El Paso, TX; grandson, Mason Davis; brother, Darrell Wayne Sidebottom (Dorothy) of Brooks, KY and several nieces and nephews. Darlene’s two siblings, Donald Lee Sidebottom and Donna Jean Harp, preceded her in death.

Interment will be in Good Spring Church Cemetery in Mammoth Cave National Park.
