Benny Troy Wheeler
1938 - 2022
Benny Troy Wheeler, age 84 of Park City, departed this life on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 in Glasgow. The Barren County native was born on April 16, 1938 to the late Ernest and Florence Whittle Wheeler.
Benny retired as a master chief petty officer, after serving in the U.S. Navy for over 22 years. While in the navy, he was a nuclear submarine propulsion plant supervisor. He received many honors including six good conduct medals and the national defense service medal. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Church of Christ.
He leaves to honor his memory— several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by one brother, C.L Wheeler and five sisters, Sylvester Toms, Pauline Toms, Naomi Bishop, Opal Luttrell and Joan Martin.
Interment will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to: Walnut Hill Cemetery, c/o Jimmy Stephens, 6744 Dripping Springs Rd., Smiths Grove, KY 42171.
