Thelma Lucille Priddy, age 94 of Park City, peacefully departed this life Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Hospice of Southern KY in Bowling Green. She was born on April 12, 1931 in Edmonson County to the late Vauldon and Christine Demunbrun. Lucille’s life was one of kindness, loyalty, and unwavering faith. She was married to her loving husband, Rev. Orel Priddy, for fifty-eight years before he passed away in 2008. Her unconditional love for him was as great as any wife could have for a husband.
The life of Sister Lucille can best be described by the verse in Proverbs 31:10, “Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.” She was saved at the age of eleven, the second time she bowed at the old Lincoln Schoolhouse in a revival held by Brothers Amos Crenshaw and Off Blanton where twenty something souls were saved. She became a faithful servant from that time forward righteously earning the name of not only an old time Christian but also of a burden-bearer. She believed the life of a Christian was a daily life and exemplified that high standard all of her life. She was a wonderful mother to her three children but also a spiritual mother to many in the church over the years. She was a devoted wife, and that devotion only grew stronger when Bro. Orel owned his calling to preach the gospel, making her a preacher’s wife. She supported him fervently through the many years of his ministry. She was a devout member of Nolin United Baptist Church where she was cherished by all its members.
She leaves to honor her memory— her three children, Brenda Gail Hogan (Rickey) of Lindseyville, Keith L. Priddy (Melody) of Park City, and Kathy Lee Priddy of Bowling Green; five grandchildren, David Hogan of Lindseyville, Brian Priddy (Dellaney) of Brandenburg, Brandon Priddy (Haley) of Jeffersonville IN, Alecia Miller-Armstrong of Bowling Green, and Alan Miller (Kelli) of Bowling Green; seven great-grandchildren, Austin Priddy (Tiffany), Dylan Priddy, Caitlin Priddy, Logan Priddy, Everlee Armstrong, Theia Miller and Ira Grey Miller; one great-great grandchild, Eva Priddy, as well as many more extended family members.
We read in Psalms 116:15, “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.” We have comfort in knowing she is at rest. Still, she is and will be missed by many.
The interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to: Hospice of Southern Kentucky, 5872 Scottsville Rd, Bowling Green, KY 42104.
