Sharon Kay Smith

Sharon Kay Smith, age 70 of Rocky Hill, KY, departed this life on Monday, May 26, 2025, at her residence. Born on June 17, 1954, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, she was the beloved daughter of the late Thomas and Wanda Neal. She was married to Daniel Smith, who also preceded her in death. 

Sharon spent her career as a road maintenance worker with the Boulder County, CO Road Department, a role that not only showcased her strong work ethic but also her commitment to serving her community. In her later years, she enjoyed working puzzles, reflecting her ability to unravel life's challenges. She also enjoyed camping and fishing, where she embraced the beauty and tranquility of nature. 

She leaves to honor her memory—her children, Jeremy Smith (Rebecca) of Cecilia, KY, Dennis Ferguson (Lindsey Sweat) of Rocky Hill, and Cody Ferguson (Karla) of Silt, CO; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carol Adkins.
