Rose Mary Cline, age 77, of Cave City, peacefully departed this life on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green, surrounded by the love and memories of those she cherished. A native of Barren County, Rose Mary was born on May 29, 1949, to the late William Martin. She shared fifty-six wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Mitchel Cline, whose steadfast love and companionship remained a blessing throughout her life.
Rose Mary was a hardworking and devoted woman whose life was centered around faith, family, and serving others. For many years, she greeted visitors with kindness and a welcoming smile while working in ticket sales at Mammoth Cave National Park. Beyond her career, she was the heart of her home, faithfully caring for her family and helping maintain the family farm. Her greatest joy came from providing for those she loved and creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and lasting memories.
Known for her outgoing nature and genuine kindness, Rose Mary truly never met a stranger. She had a gift for conversation and made friends wherever she went. Whether she was browsing yard sales in search of a treasured bargain, sharing stories with neighbors and friends, or worshiping alongside her church family at Shady Grove Church of Christ, she embraced life with enthusiasm and a grateful heart. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, and her love for her church was evident to all who knew her.
Besides her devoted husband, Mitchel, she leaves to cherish her memory— her son, John Mitchel Cline (Becky) of Cave City; a beloved sister, Joyce Ann Minor, who held a special place in Rose Mary's heart and was loved like a mother; her siblings, Ruth Martin Hunley (Joey) of Hiseville, Roy Martin of Louisville, and Ed Martin of Louisville; her nephew, William Hunley (Janet); along with several other cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were enriched by her love and friendship. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ruby Jean London.
The interment will be in Hiseville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shady Grove Church of Christ, c/o Barney Gilpin.
