Patricia “Pat” Turner Taylor, age 80, of Glasgow, peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Shanti Niketan Hospice Home in Glasgow, KY. The Barren County native was born on May 31, 1945 to the late Herbert and Bertha Toohey Turner. She was married to the love of her life and best friend, Ronnie Taylor, who survives.
Pat retired after devoting over twenty-five years of service as a secretary at Pier 19, where her dedication and warm spirit left a lasting impression. Earlier in her career, she worked with Dr. Ray Houchin at Park City Chiropractic Center and South Central Bank, always bringing kindness and professionalism to every role she held. No matter where she was, Pat had a way of making others feel welcome—her friendly smile was a gift she shared freely with everyone she met. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially her love for Elvis and the timeless comfort of country music, which often filled her days. Pat had a natural sense of style and took pride in always looking her best—beautiful clothes, stylish shoes, manicured nails, and the perfect accessories were her signature, reflecting both her elegance and her vibrant personality.
Above all, Pat treasured her family. Her greatest happiness came from the time she spent with her children and grandchildren, creating memories that will be cherished forever. She shared a deep and abiding love with her husband, Ronnie—wherever he was, that’s where she wanted to be, whether riding along on the golf course or enjoying quiet moments together side by side in their recliners. Most importantly, Pat was a member of Refuge Church of Christ, a place where her heart found peace and her spirit was nourished. Her life was a beautiful reflection of love, grace, and devotion, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Besides her husband, Ronnie, she leaves to honor her memory— her beloved children, Shea Dunn Yoakum (Robby) of Middlesboro, KY and Chris Taylor (Holly) of Union, KY; grandchildren, Madison Current (David), Jacob Taylor (Jamie), Kelci Hawks, Ellie Taylor, Jack Yoakum and Kennedy Yoakum; great-grandchild, Presley Taylor and siblings, Ernie Turner and Lou Vernia Duvall (Joe). She was also preceded in death by her son, Todd Dunn, and siblings, James and Lee Turner, Maggie Jordan and Thelma Burns.
The interment will be in Cave City Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to: Shriners Children’s Lexington, 110 Conn Terrace, Lexington, KY 40508.
