Patricia Morrison, age 67, of Cave City, peacefully departed this life at her residence on Friday, May 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of those who cherished her most. Born in Canton, North Carolina on April 19, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Carroll Mease and Doris Smith Steele. She shared twenty-six wonderful years of marriage with her loving and devoted husband, James Morrison, who survives her.
Patricia was a familiar and beloved presence throughout the Cave City community. With her warm smile, kind heart, and welcoming spirit, she never met a stranger and had a special way of making everyone feel like family. Over the years, she worked faithfully as a waitress at Jerry’s Restaurant and Cracker Barrel, where many came to know and love her friendly personality and caring nature. In later years, she continued her hardworking spirit at Dart Corporation and AtCorr Packaging.
More than anything, Patricia treasured her family. Her love for them was deep, unwavering, and evident in every part of her life. She also found great joy in cheering on North Carolina basketball and spending time with those she held dear. A faithful member of The P.L.A.C.E. Worship Center, Patricia cherished her church family and the fellowship and faith that brought her so much comfort and happiness through the years.
Besides her husband, James, she leaves to honor and cherish her memory—her daughter, Shonta Chapman of Newberry, SC; her beloved granddaughters, Saniyah Chapman and Saliyah Chapman; her niece, Sonya Steele; her treasured best friend, Lena Hill; along with several other nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were touched by her kindness, laughter, and love. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Carolyn Hyatt, Roger Mease and Mark Mease. Though her earthly journey has ended, the beautiful memories Patricia created and the love she so freely gave will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
