Marie Cassady, 94, of Brownsville, KY departed this life on Monday, December 14, 2015 in Brownsville, KY. The Edmonson County native was born October 18, 1921 to the late Sherman Poteet and the late Estel Scruggs Poteet and was married to the late Patrick Cassady.
She was a retired seamstress for Brownsville manufacturing and a member of New Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Sam L. Cassidy (Daneila) of Brownsville; two grandsons, Todd Cassidy (Laura) of Brownsville and Mark Cassidy (Julie) of Brownsville; three granddaughters, Tricia Priddy of Brownsville, Jessica Turley (Wes) of Clarmont, Ky and Crystal Wright (Robbie) of Brownsville; eleven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Interment will be in Smiths Grove Cemetery.
