Linda "Karen" Jaggers

September 13, 1950 — November 27, 2025

Listen to Obituary

Linda “Karen” Jaggers, age 75, departed this life on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky. The Edmonson County native was born on September 13, 1950, to Catherine Gibson McMurdo and the late Roy Truman Massey. She shared a beautiful, lifelong bond with her husband, Steve Jaggers. They were loving partners and true soul mates, and she held his memory close after his passing.

Karen lived a life filled with laughter, resilience, and deep devotion to those she loved. She began her professional life as an administrative assistant at the Department of Transportation. She later devoted 12 years to raising her children, a role she cherished deeply. After her time as a stay-at-home mom, she returned to the workforce and built a respected 27-year career as both a bankruptcy collections manager at Sears Credit and a credit collections manager at Citi Bank. Her dedication and compassion earned the admiration of colleagues and clients alike. She was also a member of Kyrock United Baptist Church.

After retiring, she enjoyed the slower, well-earned pace of life and the time she spent with her family—they truly had her heart. She was a loving mother who took immense pride in her children and grandchildren. As a Mamaw, she offered comfort and joy and was always a steady source of warmth that made those around her feel deeply loved.

Besides her loving mother, Catherine, she leaves to honor her memory— her children, Brandy Durm (Steven) and Josh Jaggers (Lindsey), all of Louisville; her grandchildren, Hailey Jaggers, Molly and Dylan Durm; and siblings, John McMurdo (Lynn), Tisha Sloan (Joe), Jackie York and Billie Smith (Rickey). Her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones and will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.

The interment will be in Kyrock Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to: Kyrock Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Kelly Jaggers.
