Krista Lynn Smith, age 36, of Horse Cave, departed this life on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown. The Hart County native was born on March 10, 1989 to Gary and Billie Sue Smith.

Krista was saved at the age of eleven at Servant Valley United Baptist Church, where she remained a member. She was especially proud of earning her degree from Western Kentucky University, an accomplishment that filled her with immense pride and personal fulfillment. Krista later worked at Mind, Body and Soul in Elizabethtown, where she enjoyed the opportunity to assist and connect with others through her work.

Besides her parents, Gary and Billie Sue, she leaves to honor her memory— her beloved son, Zain Andrew Smith of Horse Cave; brother, Brandon Smith (Ashley) of Park City and special niece and nephews, Bridgette, Carson and Caleb Smith. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Buford and Genell Smith and Geneva Duvall.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Cave City Cemetery. The family will host a meal following the service at the Cave City Community Center.
