Kellie R. “Ken” Wood , age 87, of Plymouth,. NC departed this life on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Vidant Medical Center in Plymouth, NC. The Edmonson County, KY native was born on November 10, 1929 to the late Alton and Ethel Napper Wood and was married to the late Marion Bray Ellis Wood and Shirley Wood.

Kellie was a 25yr. Korean and Vietnam War Marine Veteran and a deputy Sherriff for the Washington Co. Sherriff Dept. He was of the Holiness faith.

He leaves to honor his memory, one daughter, Brenda Davenport of Plymouth, NC; two grandsons, Kellie Alexander and James Alexander (Heather) ; seven great grandchildren; two great- great grandchildren and two sisters, Leola Carroll (Randell) and Rita Lindsey (Terry) both of Bee Spring, KY. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Larry, Jimmy, W.L. and Winston Wood.

Interment will be in Key Cemetery with full military honors by the U.S. Marines.
