Obituary

Listen to Obituary

Jake Keith, age 65 of Rocky Hill, departed this life at his residence on Thursday, February 5, 2026. The Edmonson County native was born on October 30, 1960, to the late Estil and Lena “Bea” Keith. He was married to his wife and best friend, Lorri Graham Keith, who survives.

Jake retired after many dedicated years as the owner of The Pool Doctor, where his strong work ethic and easygoing nature were well known. He was also a longtime member of Cedar Springs United Baptist Church, and the Washington Meredith Masonic Lodge #355 F&AM. He lived life with a joyful spirit, always finding reasons to laugh and make others smile. He loved traveling with his wife and friends, especially on cruises and trips to the beach, and never missed a chance to share a comical Facebook post about the beautiful “scenery” that always drew a smile from those who knew him.

Some of Jake’s happiest moments were spent in his man cave, better known as “The Building,” surrounded by good friends, cheering on the UK Wildcats or enjoying a friendly game of cornhole. He found true happiness riding his Harley, hunting alongside his family, and savoring a hearty, home-cooked country meal lovingly prepared by his wife. Jake cherished life’s simple pleasures and the time spent with those he loved most, leaving behind countless memories filled with laughter, warmth, and love.

Besides his wife, Lorri, he leaves to honor his memory— his children, Miranda Russell (Mike) of Bowling Green and Shawn Keith (Julie) of Brownsville; grandchildren, Peyton Keith, Audrey Russell, Luke Russell and Cooper Richardson ; brother, Rick Keith (Janet); nieces and nephews, Brittany Mabrey (Richard), Corey Keith (Brooke), Kevin Hymer, Kelly Glass and Kristal Wells. He was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Carla Keith and granddaughter, Shelby Richardson.

The interment will be in Lambert Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to: Lambert Cemetery Fund, c/o Bro. Malcolm Doyle.
