Geraldine Renfro

Geraldine Sanders "Mala" Renfro, age 80 of Brownsville, passed away at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville August 11, 2011 after a short battle with cancer.

She was a native of Edmonson County and a faithful member of Beaver Dam United Baptist Church. She was preceded in death her parents, Henry T. and Ruby Geralds Sanders, and two brothers; Richard A. "Dickie" and Henry T. "Tommy" Sanders.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert L. "Bob" Renfro and 2 daughters; Carol Jones (Jim) of Shepherdsville and Donna Brewer (Danny) of Cox's Creek.  She was the much-loved grandmother of Jeremy Swartz (Liz) and Jessica Dacic (Fesa), both of Colorado; two great grandchildren, Jazmyne Swartz and Alija Dacic of Colorado. Other survivors are a sister, Mildred Jenkins (Jay) of Louisville; a brother Don Sanders (Carolyn) of Brownsville; two sisters-in-law, Sue Sanders of Brownsville and Carole Sanders of Bowling Green, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
