Estelleen Smith Webb

Estelleen Smith Webb, age 81 of Mammoth Cave, departed this life peacefully at her home on Friday, January 3, 2025. The Edmonson County native was born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1943, to the late Ernest and Mary Edna Rich Smith. She was married to her husband who adored her, Lonard H. Webb, until he was called to his eternal home on October 30, 2021.

She was a remarkable individual whose life was marked by love, dedication, and hard work. For over fifty years, Estelleen and her husband operated Webb's Grocery, a beloved cornerstone of their community. Family was the heart of Estelleen’s life. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, creating memories that will be forever treasured. However, her greatest love was the Lord. After seeking Him for over forty-seven years, she was gloriously saved at Union Light Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained a member. 

She leaves to honor her memory— her daughter, Lonna Sheree Webb of Mammoth Cave; her grandchildren, Lonnie Brandon Jenkins and Markeeta Bunch (Dustin) all of Mammoth Cave; great-grandchildren, Lilly Ann Jenkins, Preston Hill and Delilia Jenkins, and her siblings, Anna Lou Rigdon (Arvil) and Harlon Smith (Betty). Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings, Billy Frank Smith, Arthur Smith, Willowdean Childress, Pearl Elmore and Nelson Smith.
