Danzel Clemmons, age 78 of Brownsville, departed this life on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at her residence. The Edmonson County native was born on February 1, 1947 to the late James Floyd and Clara Mae Johnson Lindsey. She was married to her devoted husband of fifty-nine years, Larry Clemmons, who survives.
Danzel retired as a custodian from Edmonson County Schools, where her love for the children made a lasting impact. With a passion for cooking and quilting, she created not just meals and crafts, but memories to cherish. Time spent with family brought her the greatest joy! She was a member of Oak Grove United Baptist Church.
Besides her husband, Larry, she leaves to honor her memory— her sons, Junior Clemmons (Teresa) of Pig and Chad Clemmons (Leslie) of Brownsville; grandchildren, Shane Doyel (Kristin), Colten Clemmons (Ginnie), Nick Clemmons, Clay Clemmons and Presley Kendall; great-grandchildren, Hallie Ashley, Layne Ashley, Cade Clemmons, Stevie Rose, Lily and Lena Doyel; siblings, Mary Lee, Clifford Lindsey, Ernie Lindsey and Ramona Durham (Calvin), along with special caregivers, Betty Vincent and Anna Haynes. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Dallas Kendall and siblings, Cova Meredith and Cleo Lindsey.
The interment will be in Oak Grove Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to: Oak Grove Church, c/o Randy Graham.
