Chuck Gambrel, age 56 of Chalybeate, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. A native of Bell County, Kentucky, Chuck was born on April 4, 1970, to Barbara Hatfield Gambrel and the late Christopher Lee Gambrel, Sr. He shared life with his beloved wife and soulmate, Lisette Renner Gambrel.

Chuck was blessed with a quick wit and an infectious sense of humor, he had a remarkable gift for making people smile and filling every room with laughter. Whether sharing a funny story or delivering the perfect joke at just the right moment, he found joy in bringing happiness to those around him. A devoted fan of the University of Kentucky Wildcats, Chuck rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on his team. He also had a deep love for music and especially enjoyed attending concerts, with the Christian rock band Stryper being his all-time favorite. His faith was important to him, and he was of the Baptist faith.

Above all else, Chuck treasured his family. He was a proud father and an adoring grandfather whose greatest joy came from spending time with his children and grandchildren. The love he shared with them, along with the countless memories they created together, will forever remain in their hearts.

In addition to his loving wife, Lisette, and his mother, Barbara, Chuck leaves to cherish his memory— his son, Dylan Gambrel (Chloe) of Hampton, VA; his daughter, Abby Brecht (Hayden) of Spring Hill, TN; his cherished granddaughters, Layla and Harper Gambrel and his brother, Christopher Lee Gambrel, Jr. (Michelle).

A memorial service will be planned at a future date in Ashland City, TN.
