Charles Martin Honeycutt, affectionately known to all who love him as “Charlie,” was born on December 27, 2022. He came into this world a fighter, and he left, small but mighty, entering God’s army on May 19, 2025.
Charlie’s light continues to shine on his devoted parents, Ben and Brandi Honeycutt, and he is also so deeply loved by his siblings, Hattie, Turner and Elowyn. Charlie is blessed with a big, beautiful family including his maternal grandparents, Chuck and Debbie Turner; paternal grandparents, David and Brenda Honeycutt; aunts and uncles, Patrick and Melanie Staples, Marty and Chantal Honeycutt, Josh and Christina Turner, Erin and Adam Huff, Daniel Honeycutt and Russell Drake; special cousins, Sarah and Leah Turner, Asher and Everett Huff, Zoe Staples, Kabree Richardson, Davis Dyer, Rosie and Radley Honeycutt and special aunt and uncle, Terry and Ricky Davis.
Charlie loved his tractor, motorcycle, and T-Rex dinosaur lovingly known as “P.P. Roars.” He adored playing with his dog Ophie. Playing ball was his life; no matter what kind of ball it was, he’d shoot it, kick it, hit it or throw it often using his catch-phrase “watch this!” before he shot a basketball or swung a bat for his doting audience to see. He loved singing and raising his hands in praise in the car with his family as they regularly listened to one of his favorite songs “The Goodness of God.” Fiercely loved, he was everyone’s boy, but Mama had his heart, and Charlie had his Daddy wrapped around his little finger. Charlie enjoyed giving fist bumps and high fives, preferred his Crocs on the wrong feet, and loved Papa’s tractor and trucks. He was a joy to all who met him. He loved his special church family at South Fork Baptist.
In honor and remembrance of Charlie, a private service will be held for his family. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a future date.
