Brenda Kinser, age 79, of Louisville, departed this life on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital. The Edmonson County native was born on May 13, 1946 to the late Conrad and Estelyne Parker Kinser.

Brenda had a special gift to care for others, a calling she fulfilled with compassion and dedication throughout her career as a registered nurse at Kosair Children’s Hospital. She found great joy beyond her work as well, especially in traveling and taking long motorcycle rides down quiet, country roads with Harry, making memories along the way. Above all, Brenda’s greatest love was her family. They were the center of her world, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

She leaves to honor her memory— her life partner, Harry Taylor of Louisville; nieces, Sherry Johnson (William Earl) of Brownsville, Beth McDougle of Bowling Green, Sarah Kinser of Louisville and Susan Kinser of Danville; several great nephews and nieces and great-great nephews and nieces, along with her fur baby, Stella. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings, Tommy Kinser and Patricia Emerson.
