Bobby Pedigo, age 79, of Cave City, peacefully departed this life on Friday, July 24, 2026, at his home, surrounded by the love and presence of his family. The Barren County native was born on July 2, 1947, to the late Orbin Thomas and Dora Riley Pedigo. He shared a loving marriage with his devoted wife, Wilma Jean Ward Pedigo, until the Lord called her to her eternal home. Though he deeply missed her, the love they built together remained a guiding presence throughout the rest of his life.
Bobby retired after many years of dedicated service with B.R. Retread. He was a faithful member of both Cave City Church of Christ and Three Forks Church of Christ, where his Christian faith quietly shaped the way he lived each day. He was not one to seek attention or praise, but instead let his actions reflect the strength of his character and the depth of his convictions.
Bobby found joy in life's simple blessings. Whether he was casting a line in his favorite fishing spot, cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats, tending a garden filled with vegetables and colorful flowers, or simply spending time with those he loved, he treasured every moment. Above all, his family was the greatest blessing of his life. He delighted in spoiling his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating memories they will cherish forever. To his nieces and nephews, he was affectionately known as the "favorite uncle," a title that brought him genuine pride and perfectly reflected the love, kindness, and generosity he shared so freely.
He leaves to cherish his memory— his beloved daughters and devoted caregivers, Michelle Meredith (Randy) and Stacy Pedigo Lewis, both of Cave City; his treasured grandchildren, Tyler Meredith (Whitney), Cameron Meredith (Sara), Katelyn Hudgins, and Konner Lewis; his precious great-grandchildren, Addie Meredith, Celia Threet, Layla Meredith, and Harper Meredith; his brother, Danny Pedigo (Connie); his in-laws, Deanie Pace and Darlene Ward, and his special fur baby and best friend, CoCo, along with several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him greatly. In addition to his parents and beloved wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Thelma Sue Pedigo, Doris Sanders, Geneva Waddell, and Junior Pedigo.
Interment will be in Cave City Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Three Forks Church of Christ FCA Scholarship Fund, 200 Three Forks Road, Smith Grove, KY 42171.
