Billy Carroll

Billy Carroll, age 85, of Louisville, KY, departed this life on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at University of Louisville Frazier Rehab Institute. The Edmonson County native was born on November 22, 1939 to the late Noel and Ellis Meredith Carroll.

Billy proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force. After his military career, he transitioned to civilian life, retiring as a skilled driver for Tiger Truck Lines. He was a member of Jock United Baptist Church. Billy cherished the peaceful drives to the countryside, where he delighted in spending quality time with friends on the golf course, enjoying not just the game but the fellowship and laughter that accompanied each outing.

He leaves to honor his memory— his sister Clara Jean Elmore (H.B.) of Louisville; nephews, Jeff Vincent, Greg Carroll (Kim), Lee Carroll and Eric Thomas; nieces, Diane Eakles and Lori Cox, along with several great nephews and nieces. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his siblings, Chris Duvall, Lorene Vincent and Charles Carroll, and niece, Lisa Elmore McCombs.
