Barbara J. Wilson

Barbara J. Wilson, age 75 of Wingfield, departed this life on Monday, March 23, 2026 at Ohio Health Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. The Morral, OH native was born on October 15, 1950 to the late Cecil and Leona Murphy. She was married to her devoted husband, Richard L. Wilson, until they were parted by his passing on November 8, 2015.

Barbara dedicated many faithful years to her work on the assembly lines at Honda Manufacturing in Marysville, Ohio, where she took pride in a job well done and the friendships she made along the way. Beyond her career, her heart was firmly rooted in her faith as a member of Pleasant Grove “Miller Hill” Missionary Baptist Church—a place she cherished deeply and attended with great joy and devotion.

Barbara found happiness in life’s simple and meaningful moments. She loved to travel and experience new places, but she was just as content sitting along the banks with a fishing pole in hand, enjoying the peace and quiet of nature. She also enjoyed watching a good movie, often finding comfort and relaxation in those moments. Above all, Barbara treasured time spent with her family. Whether it was sharing laughter, stories, or simply being together, those moments meant the most to her. Her love for her church and her family defined her life, and she will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her steadfast faith, and the warmth she brought to those who knew and loved her.

She leaves to honor her memory— her children, Susan Smith (Kelly) of Washington Courthouse, OH, Rick L. Wilson of Columbus, OH, Timothy A. Wilson (Stephanie) of Kenton, OH and Matthew Wilson (Jennifer) of Delaware, OH and her grandchildren, Brett Wilson, Brandon Wilson, Elliott Dixon, Presley Wilson and Hadley Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Murphy.

The interment will be in Pleasant Grove “Miller Hill” Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
