Anthony Paul Cherry, age 57 of Mount Hermon, KY, was surrounded by his family when he departed this life on Monday, August 25, 2025 at TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. The Barren County native was born on June 9, 1968 to the late George Cherry and Mary Ann Oliver. He was married to his loving and devoted wife, Misti Phipps England Cherry, who survives.
Anthony traveled the highways for many years as a self-employed truck driver. He was a member of Caveland Baptist Church, a place where he found solace and peace. His greatest joy was his family, whom he cherished above all. His enthusiasm for life was matched by his deep passion for Peterbilt semi trucks. He would light up at the sight of a beautifully dressed-up Peterbilt, sharing his excitement with those around him. Anthony found inspiration in the outdoors, endlessly tinkering and creating, always eager to start new projects and see where his curiosity led. Whether attending truck and tractor pulls, riding dirt bikes, four wheelers, or his Harley Davidson, he embraced every adventure with a smile. Anthony’s energy and love for life inspired those who knew him to follow their passions and treasure every moment.
Besides his wife, Misti, he leaves to honor his memory— his children, Kayti Cherry (Zack Young), Tanner Cherry, all of Glasgow, Isabella “Izzie” Cherry and Houston Price, both of Hodgenville, Kaleb England of Hendersonville, TN and McKenzie England (William Shockley) of Edmonton; grandchildren, Corbyn, Saylor and Sophie Young and Elania, Kendall and Conway Shockley; bonus mother, Judy Cherry; brother, Eric Cherry (Dawn) of Glasgow; aunts, Phylis Nunn (Steve) and Linda Green and mother-in-law, Martha Phipps, along with a nephew, several nieces and cousins. He was also preceded in death by his bonus father, James “Jimmy” Oliver, Jr.; granddaughter, Saylem Young; paternal grandparents, Mac and Edna Cherry; maternal grandparents, Chris and Virginia Green; uncle, Joe Green; cousin, Jody Green and father-in-law, William “Butch” Phipps.
The interment will be in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
