Adam Randell Blanton, age 43 of Anneta, departed this life on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. The Edmonson County native was born on September 18, 1982 to Arlen and Reva Carroll Blanton.
Adam worked side-by-side with his dad at Blanton’s Body Shop, where he poured great craftsmanship into every repair. In his spare time, he found peace in the stillness of the water, fishing pole in hand, where the world seemed to slow down just for him. He loved wandering through flea markets in search of hidden treasures, always with an eye for a good bargain and a story to go with it.
He held a special love for his grandparents. Whether he was running errands for them or simply sitting and talking awhile, he treasured every moment they shared. Those memories — along with the many family trips to the Smoky Mountains — were some of his greatest joys. He carried them close to his heart, returning to them often with a grateful smile.
Besides his parents, Arlen and Reva, he leaves to honor his memory— his beloved daughters, Sydney and Rylee Blanton of Sweeden; sister, Jeana Blanton of Bee Spring; companion, Billie Mayhugh of Anneta; grandparents, Pat and Virginia Blanton of Anneta; niece and nephew, Samantha Foulks (Aaron) and Jackson Blanton; great-nieces, Cassidy and Charlotte Foulks, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins that he dearly loved. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Randell and Leola Carroll.
The interment will be in Hubsfield Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to: Hubsfield Church Cemetery, c/o Arlen Blanton.
