Cecil "Smithy" Brooks, 61, of Bee Spring, KY, died Monday, March 1, 2010  at his residence.  He was the son of the late Abraham Lincoln Brooks and the late Sarah Elizabeth Rich Brooks and the husband of Joan Brooks.  He was a retired factory worker for Holley Carburator and was a member of Nolin United Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Brooks of Bee Spring, KY; two sons, Brad Smith Brooks (LuWanda) of Brownsville, KY; John Paul Brooks of Bee Spring, KY; one daughter, Amanda Garrison (William) of Bee Spring, KY; six brothers, Tommy Brooks (Anna) of Mammoth Cave, KY, Johnny Brooks (Karen) of Mammoth Cave, KY, Roger Brooks of Mammoth Cave, KY, Jackie Brooks of Shepherdsville, KY , Jake Brooks (Debbie) of Mammoth Cave, KY and Dennis Ray Brooks of Mammoth Cave, KY; two sisters, Janie Sanders (Daymon) of Cub Run, KY, Faye Decker (Minor "Puge" ) of Mammoth Cave, KY; four grandchildren, Jonathan Brooks, Alyssa Brooks, Austin Brooks and Maggie Brooks.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Judson and Jimmie Brooks.

Bro. Randy Mereidth and Bro. Malcolm Doyle will officiate with burial in the Miesel Cemetery.
