1938 - 2015

Willard James, age 77 of Smiths Grove, KY passed away Monday, September 28, 2015 at the Magnolia Village in Bowling Green. The Henderson County, Tennessee native was born on July 13, 1938 to the late Charlie O. James and Lennie Mable Barr James.  He was married to Martha Tarter James, who survives.

He retired from General Motors as an assembly line worker.

Besides his wife, he is also survived by one son Steven Willard James (Beverly) of Atlanta, GA; three daughters, Vickie James of Fenton, MO, Laura Ashburn (Stan) Clarksville, TN, Debra Britt of Denver, CO; two brothers Thomas Ray “Bob” James (Sue) of Humboldt, TN, Jerry James (Janie) of Alvaton, KY; three sisters, June
Duello (Denis) of Oklahoma City, OK, Joyce Williams (Ron) of St. Louis, MO, and Glenda Elvert (Mike) of Collierville, TN; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one grandson Richard James, one brother Billy Fay James and one sister Marie Mitchell.

Interment will be in Lambert Cemetery.
