John S. "Jack" McMurdo, Jr.

1931 - 2015

John S. “Jack”  McMurdo, Jr., 84, of Bowling Green, KY, departed this life on Friday, August 7, 2015 in Bowling Green. The Evans City, Pennsylvania native was born on June 3, 1931 to the late John S. McMurdo, Sr. and Anna L.Peterson McMurdo and was married to Catherine J. Gibson McMurdo, who survives.

He was a Korean and Vietnam Army veteran,  retired Master Sargent with the US Army and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Moose Lodge and Concorde General Baptist Church.

Besides his wife, he leaves to honor his memory— one son, John McMurdo (Lynn) of Roundhill; five daughters, Vickie Joyner (John) of Florida, Karen Jaggers of Louisville, Tisha Sloan (Joe) of Horse Cave, Jackie York of Bowling Green and Billie Smith (Rickey) of Smiths Grove; one sister, Annabelle Eichler of Pennsylvania; ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Pleasant Union Church Cemetery with full military honors. Bro. Malcolm Doyle will be officiating the services.
