Albert Raleigh Salley, age 85, of Park City departed this life on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at T.J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow, KY. He was born on March 26, 1930 in Kyrock, KY to the late Sylvester and Nell Myers Salley. He was married to his wife of 44 years, Leola Estes Salley, who preceded him in death.

He was a retired veteran of the United States Air Force. His 20 year service included the Korean War, three tours of duty in Vietnam, and he retired in 1970 as a Master Sergeant. He was formerly employed by W.T. Grant, Standard Farm Store, and Lessenberry Do-it Center in Glasgow, KY. He was a former mayor of Park City, member of the Park City Masonic Lodge #934 F&M, and a member of Park City United Methodist Church.

Other survivors include his step-son, Wayne Hughes and wife Diane of Corydon, KY; one brother, Clyde and wife Lou Ira of Park City; two sisters, Barbara Clark and husband Sam of Simpsonville, KY and Judy Salley Wallace of Park City; brother-in-law, Robert “Wimpy” Toms of Park City; sister-in-law, Irene Salley of Louisville; two granddaughters, Melissa Clements and husband Drew of Niagara, KY, and Andrea Hughes of Evansville, IN; two great-grandchildren, Grady and Madelyn Clements and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he is also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister, Sylvester Jr., Charles and James Salley and Marjorie Toms.

Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
